Where Brooklyn Streets meet Middle Eastern Flair
Since his youth, Josh Engelson’s mind tended towards the deep and existential questions of life; “Who are we? Why are we here?”
After high school, he went to pursue a long spiritual journey in Israel. His spiritual and musical journey went hand in hand— wherever he went, he wrote and performed songs inspired by his spiritual discoveries.
“As a child I could never keep my hands from creating, whether it was building a model, replicating a famous impressionist with my brush, or humoring my friends with funny doodles I would draw during class.”
“Over time I found myself being viewed as a musician more than anything else, I took to that and began gladly redefining myself to fit that image.”
The result of his spiritual searching and artistic knack is a unique blend of songs that reminisce of sunny days while simultaneously hinting towards a deeper, more meaningful world.
Where the brooding face of a New York winter, meets the warm smile of the LA sun, where the question, “Why do we live?” meets the answer, “To be alive, to search for light, together.”
